New Year's Celebrations
Time is dwindling, so you better get your New Year's Eve plans squared away -- it's not too late! Whether you're up for a gala event or a casual evening on the town, you'll find an abundance of parties where ever you roam.
Of course, the grand daddy of them all is held in Times Square. Who hasn't spent at least one New Year's Eve watching the famous ball drop? This year's event will feature a light show, rooftop pyrotechnics and tons of glittering confetti sprinkled over some 500,000 expected attendees. This tradition, now in its 94th year, is one of the most watched celebrations on television.
The Times Square New Year's Eve party may be the biggest party in New York, but it certainly isn't the only one! If you're looking for other hot tickets around the Big Apple, stop by the Club NYC's 1998 Guide to New Year's Eve Parties. This comprehensive guide has all the details for hip parties such as the one on the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid or the one in Madison Square Garden, as well as parties at the Hard Rock Cafe and Limelight.
Looking for something glitzy and glamorous? Something flashy like Las Vegas? Visit the Las Vegas Online Entertainment Guide for a complete listing of the parties around town. You might be surprised to learn that the big casinos aren't the only gigs around -- you'll also find a number of out of the way places for something a little more special.
