Party Plans for a Spook-tacular Halloween

Image: halloween treats (ARA) - Gone are the parties with simple plastic pumpkins and tissue paper ghosts. Plan a spooky, yet stylish, Halloween celebration from beginning to end. From a creepy kiddie party to a tween scream party, all you need to create a frightfully festive party are simple supplies, the right glue, and your creativity.

The experts at Perfect Glue offer these unique, easy-to-make ideas that are sure to please.

Make personalized invitations
Invitations set the mood for a party. Whether you want to spook and scare or enthrall and delight, you can easily create a stylized invitation to fit the theme. Consider mixing fabric with paper to create a unique effect.

Prepare activities and treats
Entertain your guests with themed activities and treats. Make charming Halloween hats made of fabric, paper and creepy, crazy embellishments. Felt-covered baskets filled with candies and party favors are sure to please all ghosts or goblins of any age.

Create designer-quality home décor
Evoke screams of delight with a charming table runner, a centerpiece of sparkling star wands or retro orange and black paper candleholders. To create these unique candleholders, you’ll need:

  • Cylindrical candleholders in various heights

  • Perfect Glue 1

  • Decorative and plain scissors or decorative paper punches

  • Black and orange paper

  • Tape

  • Scrap paper long enough to wrap around candle holder
Using scissors or paper punches, create fun shapes from various black and orange paper. Apply a small amount of Perfect Glue 1 to the back of shapes and apply to candleholders. To hold shapes in place while drying, wrap a piece of paper tightly around the candleholder and tape in place. Let sit for an hour.

For the vellum wrapped candle holder, draw designs onto the vellum and cut away interior of designs using scissors. Wrap vellum sheet around candleholder and apply Perfect Glue 1 to ends of paper and secure.

Tip: To help set the candle in place (and to add a festive touch), add Halloween candy to the holders.

The right glue can make any craft or home improvement project easier. Perfect Glue 1, 2, 3 is an award-winning trio that adheres everything from fabric and wood to stone and metal. The three distinct formulas are designed to match the materials you’re working with. Perfect Glue 1 is perfect for fabric, paper and wood; the second is made especially for glass and plastic; and Perfect Glue 3 works with metal and stone.
