Have you ever needed to make a run to the grocery store but couldn't seem to make the time to get there? Sometimes our busy schedules can get in the way, but luckily you can find a little relief online.
In the online commerce boom, grocery stores are making their niche. Not only is this a great relief to those with hectic lives, but it's also a valuable resource for those who are house-bound for one reason or another. Using Google to facilitate this search, I was able to dig up quite a few stores. Many of these merchants only served their local areas, so if you'd rather stick with a known company, you may wish to start there.
Of the grocers researched for this article, NetGrocer seemed to offer the best prices. In addition, the site was easy to navigate, offering a searchable database to help you quickly locate the items you need. A picture and full description is provided for each item, so there's no doubt about what you're ordering. Federal Express delivery ensures that your groceries arrive in just two days, although this pricey shipping option eats away at the money you may have saved on your purchase.
Another online grocer with a slightly different twist is PeaPod.com. They appear to have a top-notch service -- sending out personal shoppers who hand-pick your groceries at a local market and deliver them right to your door. Unfortunately, the site isn't very user-friendly, especially if you do not reside in one of the few areas they serve!
